30th June: Xinjiang Zijin ignited its roasting furnaces and began trial operation of its 100 ktpy zinc smelting project. The project uses the mature wet process and advanced equipment, with its emission standard and other environmental indicators meeting national and international standards.
It is the first zinc smelting project for Xinjiang.
