Wenshan Aluminum is set to power up its 500 ktpy green hydropower-aluminium project (phase I) by the end of April with RMB800 mln investment in place. One hundred and twenty-three electrolytic cells have already been installed in workshops No. 1 and No. 6.
The total hydropower-aluminium capacity is now at 3.43 mtpy in Wenshan State, Yunnan, including completed and ongoing projects. Looking forward, attention will be turned to industrial chain extension, comprehensive development and utilization of resources, energy conservation and environmental protection.
