7 August: Liu Bingjiang, Director of the Department of Atmosphere of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and a delegation from the Shandong Department of Ecology and Environment visited Weiqiao Group. The site inspection showed Weiqiao has completed ultra-low emission upgrades to its primary aluminium production lines. At present, Weiqiao’s emissions of sulfur dioxide, hydrogen fluoride and particulate matter are superior to national and provincial emission standards. Weiqiao has fully achieved its target of ultra-low emissions.
