Guizhou Shuangyuan Aluminium, designed with 150 ktpy primary aluminium capacity is set to run maintenance on 50 sets of 240 kA cells this week, involving 50 kt capacity.
The company is advancing its maintenance plan amid falling aluminium prices. It produced 12 kt of aluminium in February and estimates that March output will be the same. The company holds 7 kt of primary aluminium in stock.
Mainstream primary aluminium prices at Guangzhou warehouses were RMB11, 180~11,280/t this Monday, down RMB550/t from last Friday.
