The recently released “Shanxi Development Plan over 2021~2025” and the “2035 Long-term Perspective of Shanxi” reveal that raw coal output will hold stable at about 1 bln t per year during the 14th Five Year Plan period (2021~2025). The government will promote coal and gas co-mining technology, and explore implementation of an underground coal gasification demonstration project. By 2025, it is expected that Shanxi will become a leader in China with smart, green, safe coal mining, and efficient, clean deep utilization.
