Shanxi Fusheng Alumina refinery, designed with 1 mtpy alumina capacity is set to produce 900 kt of alumina this year, up by 12.5% y-o-y from 800 kt in 2018.
Fusheng undertook technology upgrades on its alumina production lines in Q2 2019, expanding its annual capacity to 1 mtpy from the original of 800 ktpy. The company has one alumina production line (1 mtpy) and is now at full capacity operation.
The company has produced 820 ktpy of alumna in the year to date and has an output target of 1 mln t for 2019. Fusheng chiefly uses domestic bauxite for alumina refining and sells all product to its parent company- Hangzhou Jinjiang Group.
At present, mainstream alumina transaction prices are RMB2,430~2,480/t in Shanxi, down by RMB20/t from earlier this week.
