Recently, local authority of Shandong issued the “14th Five Year Plan 2021~2025)” for the protection of natural resources in Shandong Province. The Plan stipulates that by end-2025, the total volume of mineral mining in Shandong must be controlled under 1 bln t, with annual production of oil 25 mln t, coal 100 mln t, gold ore 30 mln t, iron ore 30 mln t, cement limestone 100 mln t and construction sand 500 mln t. The total number of mineral mines (sold mineral) will be no more than 1,000, 65% of which will be mid-large scale mines.
