13th November: MNR (Ministry of Natural Resources) and MIIT(Ministry of Industrial and Information Technology) published rare earth and tungsten mining quotas for 2019. In 2019, the government will continue to focus on control of rare earths and tungsten mining volumes.
The 2019 overall rare earth (REO) production quota is 132,000 t for mining and 127,000 t for smelting. The 2019 tungsten concentrate (WO3 65%) production quota is 105,000 t, including a 78,150 t mining quota and a 26,850 t comprehensive utilization quota.
