On 29 May 2020, the Director-General of the Autonomous Port of Abidjan (PAA), Mr. Hien Yacouba SIE, witnessed the launch of the first shipment of 20 kt of bauxite, from the bulk terminal. The cargo is bound for China, from mines operated by the company Lagune Exploitation Bongouanou (LEB), directed by Mr. Bictogo Moumouny. A second shipment of 50 kt will be shipped soon.
Annual production is estimated at 750 kt.
