10th November: The Indonesian PENTA 8 mtpy nickel laterite project, under EPC contract jointly between the southern China Branch of CEEC (China Energy Engineering Cooperation) and CEEC Guangdong Thermal Power has started construction.
Designed with 8 mtpy capacity and covering an area of 1,220 hectares, the project is located at Luwuk City, mid-Sulawesi. The EPC contract involves; surface clearance, surface stropping, laterite mining, transportation and shipment loading.
