IM Heyi expects its NPI (10% Ni min) production to drop to 7.5 kt in July due to a recent tightening of nickel laterite supply.
Designed with 300 ktpy NPI capacity, the company has two sets of 33000 kVA EFs, mainly using 1.5% min nickel laterite for NPI (10% Ni min) production. Heyi produced 95 kt of NPI in 2020, 34 kt in H1 2021. It currently holds no stock.
Mainstream NPI prices (10% Ni minimum grade) stood at RMB 1,380~1,400/MTU on Wednesday, up by RMB20/t from last week.
