30th August: The local authority of IM announced that it will cancel its preferential electricity price policy, with effective from 1st September 2022.
IM NPI smelters will be impacted directly, seeing electricity prices increase by RMB 0.02/kWh to RMB 0.43~0.45/kWh in eastern IM. IM’s NPI production represents approximately 4% of the national total in 2022 so far.
