Henan local authorities recently issued a notice increasing controls on transportation in order to fight heavy pollution and improve air quality during the 2019~2020 autumn and winter.
Relevant local authorities are to screen and register all vehicles with emission standards under the ‘National State IV Motor Vehicle Pollutant Emission Standard’, using the APP platform to identify vehicles with exemptions and create a white list of exempted vehicles.
Industry commentators take the view that Henan’s vehicle classification control measures during 2019~2020 winter may have some impact on local alumina transportation.
