Guangxi Xinfa is set to resume one aluminium production line in early August after closure for an overhaul. The 40 ktpy liquid aluminium production line was suspended for maintenance due to a leakage accident in late June. Maintenance is ongoing and scheduled for completion in early August, at which time, normal operation will resume.
Guangxi Xinfa is designed with aluminium capacity of 320 ktpy, comprising 500 sets of 240 kA cells, mainly producing liquid aluminium. The company produced 23 kt of liquid aluminium in July, down slightly from 24 kt in June.
Mainstream aluminium ingot transaction prices were RMB 13,780~13,880/t at Guangzhou warehouses this Tuesday, an increase of RMB 10/t on Monday.
