Domestic tungsten prices have been stable, miners and traders held firm on quotations and declined to sell at low price levels. Due to the upcoming Chinese New Year holiday (4~10 February 2019), some downstream smelters have suspended operations and transactions have stalled. At present, wolfram (65% grade) mainstream quotations are at RMB 95,000~97,000/standard t; sheelite (65% grade) is at RMB 94,000~96,000/standard t and tungsten concentrates (50~55% grade) at RMB 91,000~93,000/standard t.
The domestic APT market is now stable with mainstream quotations standing between RMB 151,000~152,000/t.
