Domestic wolframite concentrate prices (65% WO3) have increased to RMB 107,000~109,000/t, scheelite concentrate prices (65% WO3) at 106,000~108,000/t, and tungsten concentrate prices (55% WO3) at RMB 104,000~106,000/t. Tightening spot supply in conjunction with tungsten venders’ wait-and-see attitudes have shored transaction prices for tungsten concentrates this week.
Mainstream APT quotations lifted to RMB 160,000~167,000/t today, with some high-end quotations at RMB 168,000/t. Domestic APT smelters are keen to raise their quotations following increased raw material prices and shrinking supply by ongoing year-end maintenance. At present, most domestic APT smelters have raised their bottom prices for spot transactions at RMB166,000/t (by cash).
