Domestic tungsten concentrate prices have been on a steady upward trend, approaching RMB10,000/t this week. Mainstream wolframite (65% WO3) is being quoted at RMB97,000~99,000/t, scheelite (65% WO3) prices are RMB96,000~98,000/t and tungsten concentrate prices (50~55% WO3) are RMB94,000~96,000/t.
The domestic APT market continues strong, with mainstream prices lifting to RMB146,000~149,000/t, buoyed by rising concentrate prices and shrinking supply caused by environmental checks. Domestic APT smelters are shoring up prices up to a minimum of RMB146,000~147,000/t for spot transactions by cash, with some high-level quotes standing at RMB150,000/t. Quotes for APT exports increased to USD265~275/MTU FOB China on Wednesday, equivalent to RMB153,000~158,000/t on the domestic market.
