Domestic tungsten concentrate prices continued strong this week propped by tightening supply due to environmental protection and safety control factors. Concentrate venders continued to hold firm on price with few transactions at low levels. Mainstream tungsten concentrate price (65% WO3) is being quoted at RMB96,500~98,500/t, and prices of concentrates were at (50~55% WO3) are RMB93,500~96,500/t.
Mainstream domestic APT price trended up slightly to RMB147,000 ~ 148,000/t. Buoyed by strong concentrate prices and increased long-term contract prices from large producers, domestic APT smelters raised their quotes to RMB147,000/t minimum for spot transactions by cash.
