17th March 2021: Mainstream nickel laterite prices continue stable, represented by CIF prices (WMT) at USD59/t, (Ni 0.9% with high Al); USD59/t, (Ni 0.9% with low Al); USD71~72/USD (Ni 1.5%), and USD107/t (Ni 1.8%).
At present, most domestic stainless-steel producers are uninterested in procurement of NPI, resulting in a downward momentum of NPI prices. As of 17th March, mainstream NPI prices stood at RMB1,150~1,160/Ni unit (delivered with taxes) on the domestic market. Prices were USD147/Ni unit FOB on the Indonesian market.
