This week, domestic magnesium prices have been under pressure on weak downstream demand. As of 5th March 2021, mainstream magnesium prices were being quoted at RMB15,300~15,500/t in Fugu Shaanxi with transactions settling at RMB15,100~15,300/t. In Wenxi Shanxi, transaction prices were RMB15,400~15,500/t. All prices were ex-works with taxes by cash.
Market commentators forecast domestic magnesium prices will continue under pressure next week amid continued weak demand.
