1st April 202: Backed by rising coal prices and shrinking magnesium stock, most domestic magnesium smelters raised their quotations, halting the downward trend of the last two weeks. As of 2nd April, mainstream magnesium ingot prices (99.9% grade) were being quoted at RMB15,400~15,500/t, with mainstream transaction prices standing at RMB15,400/t. In Wenxi, Shanxi, magnesium prices were being quoted at RMB15,700/t, rising by RMB200~300/t w-o-w, climbing back to the level set in early March 2021.
