Recent domestic magnesium prices have been in decline. Early this week, mainstream magnesium transaction prices fell by RMB100~200/t w-o-w to RMB 13,900~14,000/t (ex-works by cash) in Fugu Shaanxi and RMB14,200~14,300/t (ex-works by cash) in Wenxi Shanxi.
As of this week, domestic magnesium prices had dropped by RMB1,200/t over the past two weeks from a high point in early January 2021. Market commentators forecast domestic magnesium prices to remain stable at the low end next week.
