China Customs: China imported 150 kt of alumina in September 2019, up 25% m-o-m from 120 kt in August. China’s alumina exports reached 34,345 t in September, almost ten times the level of 3,555 t set in August. This figure represents the highest point since January 2019, but a sharp decline of 79.3% y-o-y.
NBS (National Bureau of Statistic) data shows China’s alumina output amounted to 5.83 mln t in September 2019, down 3.4% y-o-y. China’s alumina output during the first nine months of 2019 totaled 55.59 mln t, up 4.7% y-o-y.
