China Moly and CATL Ningde reached an agreement regarding the joint development of the Kisanfu copper and cobalt project in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). China Moly will be fully engaged in day-to-day project operations.
The Kisanfu project has 365 mln t of ore resources, containing more than 6.2 mln t of copper and more than 3.1 mln t of cobalt (in metal). It is one of the world’s highest grade copper cobalt ores to be developed.
Apart from this Kisanfu project, the two parties intend to expand cooperation in the development of nickel and lithium resources and establish full partnership in the field of new energy and metal resources.
