China’s domestic bauxite consumption was 6.86 mln t in August 2019, down 3% on-month and down 17.6% on-year. China consumed 61.1 mln t of domestic bauxite during the first eight months of the year, a slide of 6.6% compared with the same period of last year.
The data for August shows consumption of domestic bauxite was 2.91 mln t in Shanxi, down 11% on-month; 1.43 mln t in Henan, up 3.6% on-month; 1.27 mln t in Guangxi, up 3.3% on-month; and 870 kt in Guizhou, up 4.8% on-month.
