26th January 2024, NEA (National Energy Administration): By end-December 2023, China’s cumulative installed power generation capacity reached approximately 2.92 billion kilowatts, marking a 13.9% y-o-y increase. Notably, solar power capacity rose to around 610 million kilowatts, up by 55.2%, while wind power capacity reached about 440 million kilowatts, showing a 20.7% increase y-o-y.
In 2023, the overall installed capacity of photovoltaics power surged by 216.88 gigawatts, with an addition of 53 gigawatts added in December alone, reflecting a 144% y-o-y increase.
