5th January 2020, Guinea: 55 kt bauxite produced from Chalco’s Boffa project in Guinea was loaded on COSCO’s (China COSCO Shipping Group) ‘Qushanhai’ vessel and departed for China. After a 40-day journey of 11,600 sea miles, the vessel will arrive at Rizhao Port China, marking the first bauxite shipment from Chalco’s Boffa project as well as the accomplishment of an integrated bauxite logistics chain comprising inland transport, barging and sea transport.
