Chalco: 175 kt of Bx Shipment Leaves Guinea

20^th April 2020: 175 kt of bauxite produced at Chalco’s Boffa project in Guinea was loaded onto the ‘Zhongtenghai’ vessel and departed Guinea. The shipment is scheduled to arrive at Fangchenggang Port, Guangxi China in about 40 days, marking the first 180 kt level bauxite shipment from Chalco’s Boffa project to China.

Chalco’s Boffa project has been fully operational since 6^th April 2020. Its daily bauxite loading capacity has increased from 10 kt/day to the present level of 20 kt/day.

On 24^th February, 54 kt bauxite from Chalco’s Boffa project loaded on COSCO’s ‘Qushanhai’ vessel, arrived at Rizhao Port, Shandong China.
