As of last Friday, mainstream magnesium prices were being quoted at RMB 20,600/t ex-works with taxes by cash in Fugu Shaanxi, with mainstream transaction prices between RMB 20,500~20,600/t, down slightly w-o-w. Prices in other producing regions followed the downward trend.
Domestic magnesium prices have been hovering at low levels during November, down by approximately RMB 2,800/t from RMB 23,600/t level during the same period last year. Industry commentators forecast prices to remain stable at the current level over the short term.
