CNIA: China produced 756.2 kt of magnesium during the first ten months of 2022, up by 1.61% y-o-y. Of the total, production from Shaanxi was 468.1 kt and Shanxi was 168.4 kt, up by 2.72% and 3.76% respectively y-o-y.
Shaanxi produced 45.1 kt of magnesium in October 2022, up by 0.15% m-o-m and up by 44.09% y-o-y, while in Shanxi the October production was 18.4 kt, up by 39.39% m-o-m and up by 15% y-o-y.
Domestic magnesium prices have been fluctuating between RMB 24,700~25,500/t during October 2022 with monthly average prices at RMB 25,100/t, down sharply by 45.26% m-o-m. During the first ten months of 2022, average domestic magnesium prices were RMB 32,301/t, up by 46.32% y-o-y.
