Shaanxi Weitian Tengda Magnesium suspended operation on 12th October and intends to resume in late October.
After suspending operation, Shaanxi Weitian Tengda started maintenance in the wake of shrinking coke gas supply, weakening demand and falling prices after the National Day holiday. The company is set to resume operations in late October with daily production of 30 t.
Designed with 20 ktpy magnesium capacity, the company produced 1 kt of magnesium in September with its October production is estimated at 350 t. It produced 11 kt of magnesium in 2021, 9.5 kt in 2022 and holds no stock at present.
