NDRC: China is working to build up its national coal storage capacity, with the aim of reaching 600 mln t of coal storage capacity in China, or approximately 15% of total annual coal consumption. Of the 600 mln t capacity, 200 mln t will be subject to the management and control of central and provincial governments. The remaining 400 mln t will be viewed as producer inventory and will be adjusted according to actual inventory levels by setting maximin and minimum standards.
