CAA, (China Association of Automobile Manufactures): In June, China’s power battery output totaled 15.2 GWh, up 184.3% on-year and 10.2% on month. The output of ternary batteries was 7.4 Gwh, accounting for 48.4% of the total, up 133.6% y-o-y and 47.1% m-o-m. The output of LiFePO4 batteries was 7.8 Gwh, accounting for 51.2% of the total, up 256.4% y-o-y but down 11.3% m-o-m.
China produced 74.7 GWh of power batteries during the first six months of 2021, up by 217.5% y-o-y.
