The local authority of Shaanxi recently announced that in view of carbon peak requirements of 2030, the local government will continue to rein in hi-energy consumption projects – particularly coal related projects. Some small thermal-power generators, small semi-coke projects and small coal chemical project will be gradually phased-out to make space for new projects with low emission levels.
