The Panzhihua titanium market was stable last week. With shrinking supply, prices of imported titanium ore are holding firm.
Prices of titanium sponge have been rising, driven by tightening supply. Domestic titanium sponge producers hold limited stocks, and some have orders lined up through to October. However, producers have no plan to expand operations due to limited profit margins led by high production costs. Domestic titanium sponge prices currently stand at RMB51,000~53,000/t.
