Guizhou Shuangyuan Aluminium at Liupanshui, designed with 150 ktpy primary aluminium capacity is set to resume normal operations after maintenance in early May.
The company began maintenance on 50 x 240 kA cells, involving 30 ktpy primary aluminium capacity. The company will complete maintenance in early May and resume operations accordingly in a bid to supply liquid aluminum to nearby aluminum processers.
The company owns 216 x 240 kA cells, produced 150 kt aluminium in 2019 and currently holds 8 kt in stock.
Mainstream primary aluminium ingot prices were RMB12,250~12,350/t at Guangzhou warehouses this Tuesday, a decline of RMB240/t from Monday.
