Local villagers in Ningwu, Shanxi Province recently reported improper mining activities at the Kuancaoping bauxite mine. According to an inside source, the mine has been granted with only a license for infrastructure development so far but it is now mining without a safety production license or environmental assessment acceptance from local government.
Kuancaoping bauxite mine in Ningwu is one of SPIC Shanxi’s captive bauxite mines.
