Guangyuan Linfeng Aluminium and Electricity Co. Ltd., (formerly Linzhou Linfeng Aluminium), part of the Henan Zhongfu Group, is set to come online in Q2 2020. Project construction began in March 2019 and 282 sets of 320kA electrolytic cells with total capacity of 250 ktpy were relocated from the old smelter in Linzhou Henan to the new smelter in Guangyuan Sichuan. The electricity prices are RMB0.41/kWh for the old smelter in Henan as compared with RMB0.28/kWh for the new smelter in Sichuan.
Henan Zhongfu Aluminium’s 250 ktpy aluminum smelter in Gongyi is currently running at full capacity.
Mainstream aluminium ingot transaction prices were RMB13,360~13,460/t at Shanghai warehouses on Tuesday, a drop of RMB 10/t from Monday.
