13th November: Speaking at a recent industry conference, an Antaike analyst forecast China’s domestic primary aluminium consumption to drop by 12% y-o-y to 36.55 mln t in 2019. China’s 2019 domestic consumption is expected to drop by 0.9% and export is expected to drop by 3% y-o-y respectively. The decline may mark the first annual decline over the past 30 years.
