Guizhou Xingren Denggao New Materials is set to bring its Phase II (125 ktpy) primary aluminum capacity online by end-September and will achieve full capacity operation. Denggao is designed with 250 ktpy primary aluminum capacity and has been operating its Phase I (125 ktpy) during the first seven months of 2019. The company started powering up Phase II (125 ktpy), comprising 88 sets of 530 kA cells in early August, and will ramp up to full capacity operation by end-September.
Dengao produced 10 kt of primary aluminium in August – the same as July. Denggao came online in August 2018, with total output of 43 kt for the year. The company produced 80 kt of primary aluminium during the first eight months of 2019, with an annual production target of 170 kt. The company’s main product is liquid aluminium.
Mainstream aluminium ingot transaction prices were RMB 14,370~14,470/t at Guangzhou warehouses this Monday, down RMB 50/t from the previous trading day.
