Qingzhen Guizhou has 339 mln t of measured bauxite resource reserves with indicated bauxite resources in excess of 500 mln t, accounting for more than 60% of the total in Guizhou and 10.5% of the total in China. The Qingzhen Maochang bauxite mining area (including 7 mine sites) is the largest integrated bauxite mining area in China, with high grade bauxite and easy mining conditions.
At present, Qingzhen has 5 mtpy bauxite mining, 2.1 mtpy of alumina refining and 500 ktpy of primary aluminium smelting capacity. There are 30 aluminium related producers in Qingzhen, forming a complete industrial chain including bauxite, alumina, primary aluminium, aluminium alloy and aluminium fabrication.
