During H1 2018, 173 domestic and international geological exploration projects are being implemented by the Henan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources. Newly discovered and upgraded mineral resources include: 26.6 t of gold, 405 kt of lead and zinc, 4.59 mln t of graphite, 561 kt of fluorite, 1,315 t of rare-earth oxide, 306 t of niobium oxide and tantalum oxide and 60.82 mln t of bauxite. Exploration covers a range of regions in China and abroad, including Henan, Qinghai, Tibet, Hubei, Zhejiang, Xinjiang and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
