18th April, Guangxi Baise Mining Group has called a meeting to review and assess its 1.2 mtpy alumina development project at Napo. The project, located in Mazhao, Xinhe Village, Napo County, Guangxi, will be the largest single-line alumina production line using the Bayer process in the world. The project will cover an area of 490 mu with additional 1,000 mu planned for a red-mud stocking yard (1 mu=0.067 hectare). Backed by total investments of RMB 3 bln, the Napo alumina project is scheduled for completion and is expected to be online by end-March 2020.
