Project Manager

(Based in Beijing, <30% travel required)

Our Project Managers act as the focal point among clients, company officers and consulting teams. Typically they assume responsibilities to:

  • Understand client needs and CM preposition; strategize with company officers on proposals and client projects to provide effective offerings
  • Develop hypothesis and work plans for modules and/or packages; apply consulting methodology and industry know-how to tackle specific issues
  • Lead consulting team to conduct multi-dimension research and perform analysis to generate findings and insights
  • Communicate key message to project steering committee and other stakeholders in an efficient and professional approach
  • Organise and leverage internal and external resources; manage project team on a daily basis

 Desired qualifications include:

  • More than 3 years work experience in consulting and/or metallurgy related sector; combined experience in these domains, or experience with top management consulting firms highly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, particularly managing client projects and/or consulting engagements
  • Excellent research and analysis skills; fast learning capability and innovative mindset
  • Strong communication skill with significant experience impacting clients and value creation
  • Enthusiasm in developing/sustaining a career in mining, metals and energy industries
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines; proven flexibility in a changing environment and comfort in working with uncertainties
  • Academic excellence with university degree; advanced degree is a plus
  • English communication proficiency
  • IT proficiency, especially PowerPoint and Excel


(Based in Beijing, <30% travel required)

Typically, a Consultant serves in our consulting arm to work closely with Project Managers to achieve client excellence. Detailed responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct primary research for consulting projects
  • Develop input models to synthesize and refine data information 
  • Digest and leverage extensive information sources to consolidate and analyse key commercial and technical factors, and identify industry trends, drivers and levers
  • Implement client communication strategy and prepare documents
  • Provide support to Project Manager and Senior Consultants

 Desired qualifications include:

  • Aspiration in expanding knowledge and developing a career in mining, metals, energy and commodity industries
  • Strong analytical bend of mind and detail orientation
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, especially in a bilingual context
  • Entrepreneurship, willingness to develop with new knowledge in a dynamic environment
  • Academic excellence with university degree; majors in business, economics, linguistics and/or science (geology, metallurgy, energy) related sectors preferred
  • English communication proficiency
  • IT proficiency, especially PowerPoint and Excel


(Based in Beijing, <10% travel required)

Typically, a Researcher works in our Knowledge Management Team to work closely with Research Managers to develop CM internal product offerings. Detailed responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct market research to support consulting and research projects
  • Develop market intelligence through leveraging a wide range of information sources
  • Participate in the formulation and update of Industry Report and Market Watch
  • Lead and coordinate translation activities
  • Provide support to Research Manager

 Desired qualifications include:

  • Academic excellence with a university degree
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
  • Attention to detail and patience
  • Strong teamwork spirit with adequate flexibility to changing tasks

  • Time management skills, result orientation and ability to prioritize
  • IT proficiency a valuable asset - including PowerPoint and graphic software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Multi-lingual proficiency a definite plus – including Bahasa Indonesian, Melayu, Arabic, Spanish or French.
